Russell & Gale | Edmond, Oklahoma Family Photographer

Like the post from last week I took this while I was home for Thanksgiving. My sister Gale and brother-in-law Russell are always great subjects!

I also have to brag about these two. Not only do they look really really good together they are also very business savvy.

Russell owns, PMG-Design. So any photogs, or businesses, out there looking to ramp up their SEO or give their web site a face lift you gotta check out PMG-Design.

Gale has started a nonprofit organization called D.O.L.L.S, Daughters of the Living Lord and Savior. I'm telling you guys now, D.O.L.L.S is going to be huge! The Lord is doing some pretty big things.

Loved and Blessed would be an understatement.

Linda Schilberg Photography | In Space

How fitting is it that Photograph Your World™ has become my official trademark and that I now get to blog that one of my photos has been in space! Yes! Literally space!!!

I shot Seth & Kayla's wedding back in June in Guthrie, Oklahoma. After their wedding I went to go pack up all my equipment and came across this picture frame...My first thought was NO WAY this is real...Surly there is an iphone app to make this possible!

I'm truly excited to say that this is real! SO real!! Seth & Kayla are friends with Mike Fossum who was commander on the last shuttle. Since he and his family couldn't make it to their wedding (because he was in space!!!) he kindly took their Save-the-date card up into space to snap this photo.

HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!

All I have to say is...PHOTOGRAPH YOUR WORLD™

Words cannot explain the past three months. I can't thank all the wonderful Bride & Grooms' that stopped by my booth. You guys truly made my first bridal fair an absolute blast!

I also need to give a HUGE thanks to all the people who helped behind the scenes and made a vision become a reality. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Check out some of the photos of the construction of the booth walls from start to finish :)

New Promo Video!

Over the past few months I've been working with some pretty amazing and talented people. One of which is Sutton Mckee. This guy is crazy talented with creating short films. You should check out his work.

Well, back in October I talked to him about my idea of putting together a promo video for the Lubbock Bridal Fair...I was SO excited when he said he would help me out.
Not only did I get to work with an awesome videographer but I asked one of my brides if her and her husband-to-be wouldn't mind being my eye candy in the video.

I can't even begin to put into words the amount of appreciation I have for everyone's help to make this video possible.
I'm going to stop here because I just can't wait any longer. Check out the new promo video and be sure to stop by my booth at the Lubbock Bridal Fair this Sunday!

The evolution of a brand

When I graduated from Texas Tech University I knew I wanted to make photography a career but I was terrified about what all it took to get there. It wasn't until the summer of 2010 that God just gave me that one last and final push.

Blessed would be an understatement. I can't thank my family: Mommy, Daddy, Gale and Russell, Grant (my super hot boyfriend), friends, photography mentors and most of all my beautiful and super awesome clients. Y'all rock!

I couldn't be more excited to share the evolution of my branding over the past three years.

A special shout out to my amazing graphic designer, Nicole Clarke, that gave me a logo that screams my personality! Thank you so much!

I hope you love the new logo as much as I do :)

The Only Thing I Shot With Was My Camera

This past weekend I went with Grant to meet up with his family in Abilene, Texas for a family dove hunt.

I had such a blast getting to hang out with everyone and take pictures of the whole event. Yes, the only thing I shot with was my camera.

You Know It's Love When...

You just know it's love when your boyfriend surprises you with a drawing like the one below.

Only thing is...I look like I have braces and he's got a fro...Everytime I look at it I can't stop laughing, so I had to share it with y'all.

I'm so thankful Grant's has a good sense of humor.

A Few Storms Ago

Some how the West Texas weather seemed to cool down tonight...but only because this aweosme lighting storm was peeking over the caprock. No rain, a light breeze but a TON of lighting.

I didnt have any time to go out and shoot but it brought me back to a storm from two years ago that my friend Wild Dave and I chased down and pretty much put our life on the line to get some of these shots.

So as I'm sitting out here on my balcony, watching this lighting storm, I couldn't help but want to share some photos from a few storms ago.

D.O.L.L.S 5 Main Conference | Dallas, Texas Portrait Photographer

What is D.O.L.L.S.- Which stands for Daughters of Our Living Lord & Savior. We are an organization that junior high and high school students team up with and take onto their school campuses in an effort to reach out to their peers with the knowledge of the gospel message. You might compare our ministry to that of Young Life or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the primary difference being that D.O.L.L.S. ministers specifically to young girls.

The weekend of August 7th had been planned for awhile and I was super pumped to make the trip down to Dallas to help my sister out with the D.O.L.L.S 5 Main Conference.

The Conference was a two day event and Saturday was my big day to help out. As the girls did there "round robin" from station to station they would stop at mine and have a mini portrait session.

35 girls + 35 different personalitys = One heck of a time! I had a blast! I shot over 2,000 photos!

But before each group mini session I sat down with the girls and we discussed how we find on social media sites young girls posting photos of themselves taken from inside the bathroom with the camera over their head and well, you feel like you got to know that girl all to well by just looking at that one image.

So, why not start the change with giving girls a beautiful new head shot to help show the others you don't have to be that girl in the bathroom hanging a camera over your head.

If you would like to know more about D.O.L.L.S and possibly starting one at your campus check out D.O.L.L.S Headquarters for more information.
