My Very First Camera
This is indeed my very first camera. My dad made this for me when I was little. I guess I was the annoying daughter that always wanted to play with my parents REAL camera.
This camera doesn't take film and it sure doesn't take digital images. But what this camera did and still does is open my mind to pure imagination. I'm forever greatful my Dad made this for me.
This camera is made out of different pieces from my dads tool box (I wouldn't say "box"...because my dad's tools took up half of our garage, but box just worked for the blog post). The top left is the shutter release. In the center is the view finder and right below that is the "film" winder, fully functional I might add, and on the far right is the flash.
This camera sits on top of my fireplace mantel as a reminder that my passion is real, and I'm totally in love with the thought of taking pictures. I don't know what I would do with out my cameras: film, digital or even this little wooden one.

Wisconsin | A family trip
It's not very often that I get to see my extended family because, well, they live in Wisconsin and I live in Texas. But this past week I got to take a trip with my family up to the good ol' cheese state.
I had a great time and wish family get togethers could happen more frequently.
Oh, and my cousin Rebecca got married and she totally rocked it in her dress and her birdcage veil. I was a little sneaky and took some of my own pics. Then later on in the reception I made my sister and brother-in-law model for me. I couldn't pass up the photo-ops of this wedding venue.

Allen & Kristie Keys | Boerne, Texas Wedding Photographer
Talk about beauty and luck. First off...no it did not rain on this out door wedding. Hurricane Alex had nothing on this wedding. And secondly, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful couple.
Kristie and Allen put their hearts' into this wedding and it showed. I'm so thankful I got to be a part of their big day.
Marquardt Ranch in Boerne, Texas.
