If only Mandi knew that this wasn't only her senior session...

Mandi's boyfriend, Jordan, had contacted me about getting Mandi some photos as a graduation gift but he also had a little something extra up his sleeve. I had the honor and privilege of documenting the sweetest proposal!!!

Jordan asked that as Mandi and I came to the last location I place her right in front of the Texas Tech Administration building so he could come up from behind and surprise her. Oh boy did Mandi get a surprise! She had NO idea! She even screamed! It was PERFECT!

Jordan is such a sweetheart and was so excited to ask Mandi to be his wife. I couldn't be more happy for these two. 2012 is going to be a great year! Let the wedding planning begin!

2012 couldn't have started any better. This wedding had me so anxious and very, VERY excited. One of my all time favorite places in the world is Galveston, Texas (many weekend trips spent there skimming and surfing). When Sally told me they found everything they wanted for their wedding there, I pretty much immediately packed my bags.

This wedding was one of those weddings where the entire family took over the city. You could just feel the energy! Especially when you have four sisters and two best friends standing as your bridesmaids. I honestly cannot put words to this day. All I should say is "Ladies, ladies! Mimosas!?!?"

Tyler & Sally your wedding was just perfect! Thank you so much for welcoming me into your lives and allowing me to document such an amazing love story. Words cannot express how happy I am for the two of you! I left my heart in Galveston, at your wedding.

Last week I posted on facebook that I was going to a "Pinterest Party". Yes, a Pinterest Party. Better believe it because there is such a thing. My friend Lisa Gregg hosted the party and came up with the idea. All you had to do was make a receipt and a craft that you found on Pinterest.

I'm telling you guys, there was a TON of creative women in the room and holy. cow.! the. food. was. SO. good!!!!!!

Like the post from last week I took this while I was home for Thanksgiving. My sister Gale and brother-in-law Russell are always great subjects!

I also have to brag about these two. Not only do they look really really good together they are also very business savvy.

Russell owns, PMG-Design. So any photogs, or businesses, out there looking to ramp up their SEO or give their web site a face lift you gotta check out PMG-Design.

Gale has started a nonprofit organization called D.O.L.L.S, Daughters of the Living Lord and Savior. I'm telling you guys now, D.O.L.L.S is going to be huge! The Lord is doing some pretty big things.

Loved and Blessed would be an understatement.

Since I'm not good with putting my feelings into words I'm just very grateful I'm able to put my feelings into my photographs. Memories that will last this couple a lifetime. I can't wait for their wedding in Puerto Vallarta this coming July.

I met Ashley back in December of 2010 at Cavender's. As we were waiting on a price to be checked...Ashley and I started talking (Its what girls do best) and one thing lead to the other and I gave her my business card.

I was so excited when I received an email from Ashley asking me to do her and Dillon's Christmas pictures. I remember the drive to the last location Ashley was telling me about how she thinks Dillon's going to propose (don't worry, Dillon wasn't in the car with us). My heart just gushed hearing this story and seeing how excited Ashley was just saying it.

Not to long after I received THE email from Ashley. Dillon had popped the question! The wedding planning had already begun and I was thrilled when asked to be a part of it.

I can't stress the importance of having your family photos taken. I completely understand it's hard to get the family together at one time but making the photo happen is priceless...do I sound like a Hallmark card yet?

This image obviously isn't your typical "lets put this image on the Christmas card" image. However, this particular shot can speak for itself. With all the chaos in transition I find that this image brings a smile to my face, a BIG smile. I mean after all, isn't that what "Photograph Your World®" is all about?

These people are my world and I feel very blessed and proud to call them my family.

Faith wanted her senior session to take place out in Fredericksburg, Texas. I knew I had to be a part of this epic weekend trip!

Faith's mom is a Pinterest guru and working with her to set up some of the stylized spots was way WAY to much fun! (If you don't know what Pinterest is, you need to google it!)

The amount of team work that went into this weekend cannot go unnoticed:

- Lisa, your creativeness is beyond me! AND of course, thank you for having a beautiful daughter. It couldn't have been done without you (and Clint)!

- Bri, having your assistance was exactly what was needed and the back messages while inbetween outfit changes is never to be forgotten!!!

- Faith, 7 hours of shooting and that beautiful smile never left your face! You are absolutly stunning and a blast to be around!

Brace yourself I went a wee bit crazy on this post. I just couldn't pick my favorite. I couldn't.

Lisa brought these amazing props and even panted the red side table herself! LOVE!

Lisa found this amazing prop while antique shopping- Life Magazine released on June 14, 1943. "High School Graduation"

I'll have you know that right after this shot I got pooped on from a sweet little bird. The risks we photogs take to get the shot I tell ya!

Yup, she can totally do that! Blows my mind! Faith has been dancing since she was 3!

We finished the session out at Enchanted Rock. These are some of my personal favorites. The black skirt is from Hungary and the boots are from Argentina. Talk about making your session unique!

Sally has always been someone who would send me Facebook message in the begin of my photography career with the sweetest comments and words of encouragement.

She also told me, "When I get married I'm calling you!"

She wasn't lying. She called me!!!! I'm thrilled to be a part of Tyler and Sally's wedding day and all the events that come with it!!!!

Y'all this session was something else! I mean if a couple tells you that they go to museums together for dates you can't help but have the "Oooo and awwws" kick in. We started at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in the Butterfly Center and then took over Hermann Park.

It was a great and hot day in Houston but I wouldn't have asked for anything different. My heart was more than content.

The wedding had been set against the awe inspiring backdrop of the

mountains of Missionary Ridge in the Animas Valley. Without a doubt, this

was the single most appropriate location in Durango, Colorado for this

couple to share in their momentous day. Stephan and Tiffany shared their

vows as their closest family and friends watched with tears of support and

joy streaming from their faces. The evening ended with a euphoric

reception under a big white tent draped in twinkling lights; the kind every

little girl dreams of for her big day. Love was in the air that night and you

couldn't help but feel it.

How fitting is it that Photograph Your World™ has become my official trademark and that I now get to blog that one of my photos has been in space! Yes! Literally space!!!

I shot Seth & Kayla's wedding back in June in Guthrie, Oklahoma. After their wedding I went to go pack up all my equipment and came across this picture frame...My first thought was NO WAY this is real...Surly there is an iphone app to make this possible!

I'm truly excited to say that this is real! SO real!! Seth & Kayla are friends with Mike Fossum who was commander on the last shuttle. Since he and his family couldn't make it to their wedding (because he was in space!!!) he kindly took their Save-the-date card up into space to snap this photo.

I'm totally in love with this couple. They are the definition of crazy fun!

Seth and Kayla got married in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the Sand Plum Event Center. Guthrie's ongoing restoration efforts make the town's downtown area the largest Historic Preservation District in the nation!
The whole time I felt like I was in the movie, The Notebook. I fell in love with this little town.

Seth is in the Air Force and so all his groomsmen were dressed in their proper uniform as well as all the bridesmaids looking drop dead gorgeous!!!! The wedding party was its own party in itself. I'm thinking they may need their own reality show. ;)

I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to document the day. The 105 degree weather had nothing on this wedding party and its guests.

I also have to brag a bit about my 2nd shooter. I met Jenni at WPPI, a wedding photography convention in Las Vegas! Turns out she is from Oklahoma and she was able to come out and help shoot. She was amazing and I'm SO SOOO blessed to have met her! Any photogs reading this GO TO WPPI!!!!!

This wedding was such a blast. It was my first one of the wedding season and I couldn't have asked for a better way to start it.

Matt & Tiffany are madly in love with each other. I mean madly in love!!!! I'm not sure how to explain it but all I know is that when you talked to Matt about Tiffany or Matt is around Tiffany his smile is so big you can't help but smile yourself. Its the sweetest thing to see these two together.

These two have become not only great people to work with but are now great friends of mine. I love these two together!!

And as always I can't thank my 2nd shooter, Courtney Ryburn, enough for all her help documenting the day.

I love how I meet my clients, some through facebook, others through mutual friends but which ever way I meet them I'm just happy to serve them up with some awesome photos ;)

When I first met Dan he was the Student Assistant for my last Communications class I took while at Tech. Dan ultimately decided if I was going to pass the class or not. Thank the Lord I did.

But oddly enough Dan and Charlotte also live right across the street from me. So not to long after we realized that I met Charlotte. These two have become some great friends of mine.

Now, I can't leave out their new addition to the family, Ashton. This cute little boy is going to grow up and do some amazing things. He's already growing SO quickly.

This family brings so much joy to my life and I'm so blessed I had the opportunity to take their family photos.

This session was very special for me for several reasons.

Reason 1: I found some old vintage potato sacks while I was visiting my parents in the OKC and was dieing to use them for an engagement session.

Reason 2: Between Andrew's creative input and Rossilyn's beautiful smile I just knew this was going to be a yummy session.

Reason 3: Andrew and Rossilyn took me out to Andrew's family farm land to finish up their session and talk about PRIME location!!!!! It was beautiful!!!!!!

Reason 4: I can't get enough of engagement sessions!!!!!

My heart just melts when I look at these two. I'm so excited to share their these images with you.

I struggle with writing...I struggle with trying to put my thoughts into words AND while we are at it...I'm a terrible speller too, hah.

This happens about 95% of the time when I write my blog posts. How in the world do I bottle up my experience into one blog post? My clients are amazing! Time flies by way too quickly during a photo session. At least for me it does ;)

So, how do I explain to you what the Boren family means to me?

My very first Photoshop class at Texas Tech was taught by Mrs. Boren (Amy). If it wasn't for her patience and her willingness on letting me keep my longboard in her office while I was off running around to classes in the Mass Comm. building I don't know where I would be. (that was a long sentence)

I remember calling my mom after my very first photoshop class with Amy and telling her, "Mommy (yes I still call my mom mommy) My photoshop teacher is awesome! If she was a student in the class I think we would be best friends."

It wasn't too much longer that Amy and I became great friends. She even asked me to be her Student Assistant/TA while I was going to school.

Working under Amy was the type of job that any college student could only dream of. Amy would pour her heart into helping me with photography, photoshop, web design and life. She would do anything for any of her students. You could tell she had a passion for teaching and lucky me, I not only had the chance to call her my boss but also a best friend.

If it wasn't for Amy and her always allowing me to borrow her camera I wouldn't be where I'm at now.

Then on top of that the entire Boren family you can't help but fall in love with them. Tripp & Amy still get all giggly around each other and their two kids Raegan & Carson are just a blast!

This family means so much to me and it meant even more that I was able to take their family pictures.

Chelsea is such a beautiful and talented girl. She will be graduating from Coronado High School and will be attending Texas Tech University this fall.

Get this!!! Chelsea is also going to be in the Tech Goin' Band from Raider Land! She plays the flute and I even had her play me a little something during her session. I'm thinking I need to have her out for every session to play. It was so peaceful and just down right awesome.

Yet another amazing cake made by Krista Bailey. I have no idea how she even does this stuff. Blows my mind every time! If you need a cake for any celebration she's the girl you need to go to. Look at that Masked Rider artwork she did on the cake. Oh and yes, it was VERY tasty too ;)

This cake was made for Bradley Skinner, Texas Tech University's 50th Masked Rider. (Bradley is also my boyfriend's roommate. How stinkin cool is that!!?!??)

I met Eric when I was working at UMC last year and his quick wit and caring personality is one that doesn't go unnoticed so I could only imagine how awesome and amazing his wife Ashley is. AAANNND She's VERY amazing and awesome AND a natural beauty.

This past Saturday was AH-MAZING!

Cristy Cross asked Casey Lampert and myself to come out to Clovis to help out with a project she will be displaying in her up and coming art show.

Cristy put together the entire photo shoot. From finding a $7 vintage wedding dress all the way to making the bouquet. You better believe I would do this all over again in a heart beat.

I left this weekend inspired and fulfilled.

I couldn't be more excited to blog these photos. These two are your modern day Noah and Allie from the movie The Notebook.

While Zach was on his two year mission the only way these two could talk was through sending letters...So they both decided to write each other every week FOR TWO YEARS!!! How stinking cute is that!

Over 200 letters were sent. Is your heart just melting yet? Because mine totally is!

Zach is one of my closest friends and I feel so blessed & honored when they asked me to come to Houston to do their engagement session.

I'm honestly at a loss for words. These two are just perfect!

If you know me I've got a BIG sweet tooth. Let me be specific, I LOVE WEDDING CAKES! So yet again I teamed up with my amazing friend Krista Bailey with, Krista Bailey Cake Designs, to take some photos.

Now cake tasting is super fun as it is, but when you make it into a wonderful date with your super hot fiancé it doesn't get any better than this!

Ladies and gentlemen, its all about the experience when it comes to your wedding!

New Promo Video!

Over the past few months I've been working with some pretty amazing and talented people. One of which is Sutton Mckee. This guy is crazy talented with creating short films. You should check out his work.

Well, back in October I talked to him about my idea of putting together a promo video for the Lubbock Bridal Fair...I was SO excited when he said he would help me out.

Not only did I get to work with an awesome videographer but I asked one of my brides if her and her husband-to-be wouldn't mind being my eye candy in the video.

I can't even begin to put into words the amount of appreciation I have for everyone's help to make this video possible.

The evolution of a brand

When I graduated from Texas Tech University I knew I wanted to make photography a career but I was terrified about what all it took to get there. It wasn't until the summer of 2010 that God just gave me that one last and final push.

Blessed would be an understatement. I can't thank my family: Mommy, Daddy, Gale and Russell, Grant (my super hot boyfriend), friends, photography mentors and most of all my beautiful and super awesome clients. Y'all rock!

I couldn't be more excited to share the evolution of my branding over the past three years.

A special shout out to my amazing graphic designer, Nicole Clarke, that gave me a logo that screams my personality! Thank you so much!

I hope you love the new logo as much as I do :)

This couple just takes my breath away. Really. The way Matt just looks at Tiffany says it all. These two were meant for each other.

I was acting like a little school girl when they told me, "We will have access to taking pictures at the Jones AT&T Stadium." AHHHH! What! Get your guns up!!!!

Now, I consider myself a huge Tech fan, but these two beat me by a million and one. We took over the Jones Stadium, got to watched the football team practice and Matt and Tiffany got to kiss a lot.

So, all in all I'd have to say this was a very successful engagement session ;)

The first go around at Adam and Karishma's engagement session Adam got sick so they weren't able to make the drive to Lubbock. But as we set out to reschedule the session, we were actually pretty happy it turned out that way...Not that Adam got sick; but the weather is spot on!

I've known Karishma for about 5 years now and getting to see her for the first time in over 2 yeras made me so mad that both Adam and Karishma don't still live in Lubbock.

These two were so great to photograph, talk about so many OOOHHHHH LA LA moments! Karishma and Adam are going to have a 3 day formal Indian Wedding. Talk about an all out party!

On the drive home after the Haggard wedding all I could think about was how am I going to explain how amazing this couple is and the impact they have made on me.

Let me start here...

The first phone conversation I had with Abby she told me to dream up anything for her bridal session and she was game. I knew Abby was my kind of bride.

So when it came time for the wedding I was so excited to see all of it come together: Finally meet Chris (he's already located out in Cali as a youth minister), see the family and hang out with everyone.

Abby and Chris were my super bride and groom. Just so calm and entertaining.

I've never been a part of a wedding ceremony that was this powerful! My heart was melting and my eyes were watering big time. It was so great to be a part of the day and see Chris and Abby just SO happy to be married.

I know I left that wedding having gained not only some awesome pictures ;) but some amazing life long friends.

I couldn't be more excited to share their big day with you.
